The Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoological Gardens
Pittsburgh, PA
The aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoological Gardens was a major remodel of an existing 26,000 square foot facility with the new addition of a 10,000 gallon saltwater reef and deep ocean tank, and a 7,500 square foot tropical rainforest habitat. Encompassing a global aquatic theme, the new aquarium displays a wide variety of fresh and saltwater environments and aquariums through six major exhibit galleries and habitats.
BIOS developed the concept, project managed the design team, and designed the building and exhibits.
