AQUARIUM FACILITIES

The Alaska SeaLife Center
Seward, AK

The Alaska SeaLife Center is a major marine research and conservation facility with a public visitor center component. The exhibits are designed for both educational and visitor usage and cover local Alaskan marine habitats and conservation issues. Major living exhibits feature Steller sea lions, Alaskan seabirds, and Resurrection Sound fishes and invertebrates.

BIOS designed the animal exhibit facilities, the visitor exhibits and graphics and provided general oversight of operational issues related to the public uses of the Center. Exhibit casework, tanks, interactive exhibits and other elements were designed and fabricated off-site and moved to the building for a timely opening.
