The Seattle Aquarium - Life of a Drifter
Seattle, WA
In continuation with the new Master Plan for the Seattle Aquarium, BIOS provided a design-build service to the Seattle Aquarium to create a trio of new exhibits, Life of a Drifter, which explore the diverse marine life of the Puget Sound.
BIOS conceived of, designed, and construction managed the highlight of the new exhibit, a large, walk-through acrylic kreisel tank for jellyfish. Other elements of the BIOS design include the multi-species tank, which houses a local giant pacific octopus and a mated pair of wolf eels, and the wet table with built in tanks for hands on demonstrations along with all related architecture, lighting and building components.
