Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas is a unique walk-through recreation of a southeast Asian temple compound. The exhibit features Asian crocodiles, monitor lizards, free-flying birds and insects in the jungle portion and bright tropical reef fishes in the coral covered sunken reef temples. A recreated shipwreck lies submerged in the lagoon; visitors can enter the hulk and see the reef sharks beyond.

BIOS provided the concept, art direction, animal selection, theme and story development, visitor circulation planning and overall design of the exhibit.
