The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center

The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center is a private, nonprofit educational nature center and fish hatchery owned and operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife. The interpretive message focuses on the aquatic flora and fauna found in the fresh waterways of Texas, with two acres of fabricated habitats and exhibits interpreting a river habitat, a pond habitat, and a lake habitat. A large one-acre man-made lake and education facility in a replica fishing shack provides interpretive information on the stewardship of fishing.

BIOS provided exhibit and life support system design and construction management for the project.
